The Treasure Valley Cowboys enjoyed a very
successful 1999 campaign reaching the RMFL Title Game against the Snake
River Rebels. The Cowboys would fall in the final 36-28 with high
hopes for the 2000 season.
Manzo Hodge won RMFL Offensive MVP honors while
setting a regional record 90-yard punt return for touchdown.
2000 brought a split in Boise as the Cardinals
formed and took both meetings with the Cowboys who eventually finished
with a 2-6 record. The Cardinals went on to the RMFL playoffs and
a 7-4 record.
The Cowboys and
Boise Cardinals would merge for
the 2001 season forming the
Boise Roughriders again putting
a single dominant team on the field in the RMFL. |
