Following the collapse of the Puyallup Nation Kings and billed as a new
member of the HGDFL, a Southeast US based league, the Warriors were
slated to meet the Arctic Bengals in late 2018, with neither date coming
to fruition and some of the Arctic Bengals players facing Team USA as
part of an All-Star team in Las Vegas. Team USA won 44-0.
Promoted solely on Facebook through 2018, no website existed either for
the team or the league. "Combines" and tryout held with promises
of scouting by colleges and professional teams. The league also
mentioned the Oregon Irish Rebels as a rival Northwest team that never
formed. The Facebook page was eventually locked with a March 30,
2019 expected kickoff date.
In 2021, former Puyallup player Tutu Tamaalevea announced the formation
of the Washington Warriors playing in the Gridiron Development League
for 2022.
