The 1916 team included a number of standout players including 21-year old Leslie Jensen, and 23-year old Walter Homberg.  27-year old Eddie Karl served as team manager as well as center.  Bert Shumake played at Whitworth College and was also an accomplished 170lb boxer.  Following the first game of the season, Nevers, Shields and Nelson were recruited away by the Tahomas Athletic Club playing against their former team on November 18th.  Walter Todd leapt in the air to grab the winning touchdown for South Tacoma in the rivalry battle with Tahoma.  Walter Holmberg broke his collarbone against the St. Martin's collegiate team.

The South Tacoma Athletic Club clubhouse burned Nov 11, 1916 and was rebuilt in 1917.  The club team was a mixture of working men and high school players which required scheduling to account for the high schoolers who played their own games on Saturdays and Sundays as well.

South Tacoma played only one game in 1921 which was a benefit game for former player Eddie Danielson.
