Tommy Selden
Rogue Warriors
Running Back
1998 - 2002
'Moves like Barry Sanders'. A December, 2000 article
wrote that about Tommy Selden in the build up to the Oregon
Football League championship game where Seldon would look to
lead the Warriors to a 3rd consecutive title. The then
32-year old was winding down his brief time in the semi-pro
ranks helping establish the upstart league, leaving a successful
mark on the league and region.
The 2-time Oregon Football League MVP, 2-time Rushing
Leader and 3-time OFL Champion was considered the shiftiest
back in the league, difficult to catch and get a clean shot
on. Selden earned the 2002 OFL 1st Team position as the top
running back in the league in his final season.
The California native, who spent most of his life in Japan
with his military family, walked on at Southern Oregon
University in 1996 and 1997 where he earned CFA 1st
Team All-Conference as a kick returner and 2nd Team as a
punt returner, jumped on board with the
Warriors in 1998 as the OFL was formed and etched his name
in league history.
