The Anaconda "Juniors" were lighter weight and sometimes younger players
who would be selected to go against similar teams, especially when
weight limitations were demanded. Some players would play in both
"junior" and "heavy" divisions throughout the year, and may even appear
with high school or college teams of the day.

The 1901 team would start out sharp, but got derailed by their own club
when taking on their heavy teammates at the Business College. That
started a five-game skid until the team regrouped to win the finale
against the Butte Juniors.
