During the 1940's war years, there has been difficulty finding continuity and separation between the civilian football teams of Bremerton and the various Naval teams that played around the area at the same time, with newspaper accounts sometimes using alternate monikers from week to week. There were individual battleship and destroyer teams playing in the naval yard as their own "league" while select players from those ships would at times be combined to go out and take on Northwest League and Independent semi-pro clubs.

This "Rockets" team found in 1945 could very well be the continuation of the 1942 Bremerton Red Raiders, or the Bremerton Mountaineers but has not been confirmed. So as a placeholder, this team will have a separate entry until more information is uncovered. The Seattle Ironworkers team also listed a potential game with the "Bremerton Cruisers" which creates even more fog surrounding the Bremerton area teams of the 1940's.

Similarly, the Bremerton Mountaineers found in 1943 may in fact be the same team, or a team from the military base and will likewise live on it's own page for the time being.

During the November 17th game with Farragut, the Bluejackets held the Rockets at bay the entire game and allowed only a single penetration into Farragut territory with Bremerton reaching the 'Jackets 44-yard line and getting no farther.
