Post-World War II military teams were scattered across Washington and Oregon during the early 1950's and Bremerton sported one of the top squads.

The 1949 squad won the Service League championships sporting a 7-1-1 record with the one loss coming against the West Coast stalwart El Toro Marines.

1950 began a series of service league games along with taking on the legendary Seattle Ramblers of the semi-pro ranks.  The Ramblers, always bigger, faster, and older experienced players lost the first match-up by a point but then went on to dominate the series through 1952.

The 1952 team would return to championship form by defeating the Fort Lewis 4x4s for the "mythical" Northwest Armed Services title.

With the Korean War in full swing and a lack of service teams to play it was decided not to form a team for 1953, but under the direction of Chief Warrant Officer Fred Daigle, the team was reformed and headed by CBM John Jackson for the 1954 season.
