Formerly the Silver Bow Juniors, it was announced in the Anaconda
Standard on Feb 25, 1896 that the team would become the Butte Juniors
and wear Blue and White uniforms.

1898 Players included former Butte high schoolers like Harrington, Ryan,

(G), Purcell (T), Thornton (E)
Mickey Harrington and "Punk" Purcell had played for the Butte Football
Club in 1896-1897 .
