The Timber Rattlers were formed in June of 2007, but never took the field.
 
After attending Evergreen Football League meetings, paying dues and preparing for an inaugural season, the owners were forced to inform the EFL a few weeks before kickoff that the team did not have enough players committed to field a team.
 
EFL teams scheduled to play Eastern Oregon were awarded forfeit with the option to reschedule games with other area teams.

Eastern Oregon would get it's team in 2010 when the Hermiston Hurricanes formed 90 miles to the northwest just across the Washington border replacing the Blue Mountain Stars.
