Much is yet to be uncovered on the Green Lake team during the
1930's. The 1932 team was part of the Seattle Community League
and made it to the championship game only to lose by a single point
to the Rainier Beach Athletic Club on January 8th, 1933. The
following fall, the team had either joined, or the league shifted to
be known as the "B" league with a 160lb per man average weight
limit. It is currently unknown if the team changed names during the missing years as was common as business sponsors may have come on board and the name would reflect that business, such as one of their later rivals, the Issaquah Alpines, sponsored by Alpine Dairy, had originally been known as the "Firemen" simply because most of the players were volunteer firemen. Following World War II, the Green Lake Associated Boys Club would start up play in 1945 as a way to occupy the team "wild youth" roaming the streets causing mischief, young men under 21, many having lost male role models to the war.
