After two consecutive championships following the ICFL move to 11-man
format, the Tribe underwent a merger that saw the entire staff and
player body of the 2016 Idaho Matadors
come aboard for 2017. The transition was rocky as the Tribe lost
regular season games for the first time since 2014. The
Tribe still managed a 9-7 Championship victory over the Oilers for a 3rd
straight championship.
Following a fourth consecutive ICFL Championship by a narrow 41-40
victory over the Black Tide, the Tribe management announced on July 8
that the franchise was shutting down.
