Formed in February of 1993 by 1983 Issaquah High grad Rich Adams,
the Eagles first press clipping came from the Issaquah Press on Feb
24, 1993. Russ Kruse and Kevin Houlihan were early competitors
for the QB position, but the 6'5" Kruse turned into a passing target
for Houlihan as the 33-year old hauled in the franchise first TD in
the season opener. The offensive line averaged 280lbs with
dual 250lb fullbacks. The team was occasionally referenced as the "Cascade" Eagles. Later in December of 1993 it was reported that the Eagles would be merging with the Puget Sound Sharks and rebranding as the South King County Lions. Perry Straus, back-up QB for the Eagles would be named coach of the South King County Lions for 1994. The "Lions" would play the season finale against the Cowlitz County Cavaliers in a 12-0 loss.
