Organized in October of 1908 as primarily a basketball club, the Loyola
Club would put together a make-shift Gonzaga College Alumni Squad to
tune up the College team annually. The 1908 squad was no match for
the well-drilled collegians and demolished. The team was not formed in
1909 sticking to basketball.
Many of the players had been part of the Shattuck Pharmacy team.

Goodwin (HB), Harper (FB), Suing (HB)
Resurrected for 1910, the Loyola's finally put a team on the field that
could give the College a run for its money.
Coach Jimmy Irsfield came aboard following his short 1909 stint with the
Blair Business College and subsequent lawsuit where he was paid $100 for
one game.

1911 Players included: Bacon (E), Joe Albi (E), McKevitt (T), Kenna (G),
Kane (G), Bish De Mers (C), Kalen (G), M. Walsh (T), Pat Walsh (E),
Johnny Roberts (QB/Capt), Sweeney (HB), Jay Kennedy (HB), Billy Roche
(FB)
1913 Players included: Joe Albi (E), McKent (T), Meehan (G), Bishop De
Mers (C), Meehan (G), O'Shea (T), Pat Walsh (E), Foley (QB), Sweeney
(HB), Carter (HB), Olson (FB)
Much like the club started, it ended in 1913 with the collegians
dismantling the ill-prepared alums.
