Morris Bunn
Running Back
Idaho Falls Mustangs
The Idaho Falls Mustangs were
already the #1 team in the region following the 2019 season
rolling out to a 10-0 undefeated season and RMFL
championship. What do they do then? Go out and
bring in one of the most explosive rookies of the last
decade.
Morris Bunn put on a show in the
Covid-delayed 2020 season leading the Mustangs to a
9-0 season, 19-game winning streak and Back-to-Back GNFA Championships, the first
since the Portland Monarchs of 2009-10. Even losing
out on early-season games, Bunn rolled to 1,172 yards rushing
and 15 touchdowns during the season.
Those numbers scored him the Idaho
Contact League trifecta of honors:
ICFL Player of the Year
ICFL Rookie of the Year
ICFL Offensive MVP
The Mustangs were so dominant in
2020, Bunn was finished early in the second half of most
games leading by 50+ points. The former Arena-level
"Idaho Horseman" continued to dominate, leading the Mustangs
through the playoffs and into a much-anticipated showdown
with Washington states South Sound Nighthawks. The
Mustangs remained on top in a come from behind 18-14
victory, where Bunn and Idaho went head-to-head with
reigning 2019 Player of the Year Dashun Salgado (WR), as
well as 2018 winner Vikah Lefau (DE) and 2017 & 2015 winner
Adam Kruse (QB).
