Prior to the 2004 season the Snake River Rebels and Pocatello Silverbacks merged to form the Predators in the Rocky Mountain Football League.  Sporting a winning record during the inaugural season finishing 5-3, the Predators made their first RMFL playoff appearance in 2005, but were blown out by the Idaho Falls Mustangs.  Brock Gunter set a receiving mark with 13 catches in a game on his way to 1st Team All-League honors.  Troy Sutton, a 2004 original would earn five 1st Team All-League honors from the defensive backfield, one of the Predators all-time greats.

Generating a nearly identical record in 2006, it was once again Predators vs Mustangs in the opening round of the '06 playoffs only this time roles reversed as the Predators ran away with a 40-14 win.  Pocatello nearly pulled off a shocker of an upset in the next round as the 2-time defending RMFL champion South Ogden Rhino-Raiders outlasted the Predators 35-28 to advance and send Pocatello home for the season.  South Ogden would win their 3rd Consecutive RMFL crown and eighth consecutive league title dating back to their Utah League days.

Following the 2006 season, after a decade in the RMFL, Brock Gunter would retire as one of the GNFA all-time leading receivers with nearly 6,000 yards and 56 touchdowns to his credit in RMFL play from 1997 to 2006.  Twice an RMFL Offensive MVP and consistent all-league performer, Gunter is the RMFL record holder for many of the now defunct league's receiving records.

On the bubble in 2007 with a 4-5 record, Pocatello needed a regular season finale win to make it back to the playoffs.  The Utah Wolverines would deny the Predators winning 17-10 ending the season.  Travis Hobson would make his debut in '07 and earn three consecutive 1st Team All-League honors from his offensive line position.

2008 would be a return to the playoffs only to be ousted by the Cache Valley Bears the week after losing a finale heartbreaker in overtime to the Mustangs.  Jason Durham would be named RMFL Defensive MVP following the season.  A decline in 2009, it was the Bears who again ended the season for Pocatello and once again sent the team home early without a playoff bid.  The final four games were decided by nine points in total, the Predators going 2-2 in those games, both victories by a single point.

After six seasons in the middle of the pack, the Predators folded up their tents and terminated the franchise following the 2009 season.
