For the third time
in his career, Schneider has been tabbed Northwest
Player of the Year. "Tom Brady of the
Northwest"...or is it "Brett Favre"? Either way,
Schneider has rewritten the record books for
quarterbacks in his nine years on the scene and added to
the lists this past season. Completing 255 out of
429 pass attempts on the season for 3,552 yards and 43
touchdowns, Russell led the Raiders to another league
and GNFA championship, his 6th of his career.
His three Player of
the Year awards tie him with Harry Washington of the
Auburn Panthers, who won the award three consecutive
years (1984-1986). Schneider has been in the Top 3
of voting every year since 2008. Schneider was
edged out by teammate Isaiah Smith in 2014 for the
award, Smith the beneficiary of 84 receptions from his
QB's including Russell that season.
