RUSSELL SCHNEIDER Quarterback Portland Raiders Completing passes at a 65% clip through the regular season, the Portland Raiders "old gunslinger" Russ Schneider once again led Oregon to the league title game in 2024 and topping the West Coast Pacific league in all major passing categories. Russ led his undefeated Raiders into the WCP title game to face familiar faces in the Grit City Knights. The Raiders could not complete the sweep of the Knights and repeat the June 15th win, as the Raiders fell short 28-23 in the July 20th rematch, but the 41-year old Schneider still posted a 29 to 3 TD to Interception ratio on the season with over 1,800 yards passing doubling the leagues #2 yardage gainer and TD passer 16-years since his debut on the Northwest semi-pro scene with the Oregon Monarchs in 2008. This is Schneider's fifth GNFA Regional Player of the Year award and second in the past three seasons ('22), most by a single player in the 134-year history of minor league football in the Pacific Northwest.
