Trent Hockett

West Seattle Warhawks / Auburn Panthers

Linebacker

1980 -1986

One of the top defenders in the league with the West Seattle "No Names", a publicity stunt in 1980 where no mascot was used, then as a Hornet in 1981 and finally as a Warhawk in 1982, The 6'3" Hockett, returned to Tacoma after a stint in college at San Diego State and became a tackling machine in the Northwest International Football Alliance.  Hockett earned First Team nods every year with West Seattle.

As the Auburn Panthers were formed, Hockett took the opportunity to play closer to home and led the Panthers defense in tackles and set a record for 5 blocked kicks in a season as the 1984 edition ran out to an undefeated 12-0 season.  For two more seasons, Hockett starred on a defense that features three Hall of Fame linebackers locking down 57 straight victories for the Panthers, still a National record.
