For the
second year in a row, Washington was voted the NFA
Offensive
Player of the Year and first team All-League wide
receiver and return specialist. The 6'0" 180 lb
former Chicago Bear and Minnesota Viking was maddening
for defenses to deal with as he rewrote the record books
in 1985.
Every time
Auburn needed a big play, Washington seemed to deliver
just as he did against Skagit Valley once again with a
brilliant 75-yard catch and run for an overtime
touchdown.
Finishing
the year with a league high 31 receptions for 659 yards
and 7 TDs, Harry kept lighting up the field on punt
returns as well with high marks of 18 for 349 and a TD.
