Following the end of the Helena Titans decade-long run in 2010, the Helena area didn't have to wait long for the Bearcats franchise to arise for the 2011 season, posting an identical 2-6 record as the Titans final season.  Some players returned under the Black and Gold colors of the Bearcats as Rocky Mountain League play kicked off, while others retired as Titans.  A few others found new homes on other Montana rosters.
 
The 2012 season did not go as well, with the Bearcats finishing 0-8 in the RMFL Montana Division before dropping out of the league and folding the franchise.
