This archive is still under research, any information is
appreciated! The Billings Dragons were created out of the Billings Knights which originally formed in 1992 as a 9-man team that switched to 11-man in 1994. Other teams expected in the Intermountain League would include Havre, Bozeman, Pocatello, and Idaho Falls, however the Idaho teams would stay in the Rocky Mountain League which had formed in 1997 with four teams. The Intermountain League would not come to fruition and the Dragons embarked on an independent schedule along with the Bozeman Kodiaks. Ownership rebranded as the "Yellowstone County Dragons" in March
of 1999 picking up games where they could. The team would go
back to the Billings Dragons later in 1999. DO YOU HAVE INFORMATION TO CONTRIBUTE? CONTACT US! (email)
