One of the
greatest single-season performances on one of the best
teams ever assembled in Northwest history, EJ Ash ran
for a record 18 touchdowns and 1,673 yards during the
Hawks run to the American Football Association National
Championship. Along the way, Eastside, owned by
former Seattle Seahawk Sam Adams tore through the
Northwest Football League and the North American
Football League playoffs winning both league titles
winning by an average margin of 43-5.
Ash was
the workhorse for the Hawks amazing 2004 season,
carrying the ball 224 times on the season. He was
voted a consensus 1st Team All-American, and NWFL Player
of the Year.
