Created in 2023 as one of only two semi-pro teams playing in the entire State of Oregon, Anthony Groesbeck announced Dallas, Oregon as the future home of the Cobras.  Taking to the road, the Cobras traveled to Boise, Idaho for the franchise opener against defending Idaho Contact League Champion Black Tide.  The Cobras hung tough on the long road trip succumbing 28-7.  Returning for another "road" game with long-time Eugene power South Lane Buzzards, I-5 was thumped in a 46-0 shut out.  Up in Washington, the GDFL Warriors were a late scratch for the season and to fill a bye week for the Grit City Knights, the Cobras hosted their first and only home game of the season.  A battle ensued but the Knights pulled away 18-6.  The season was just an 0-3 outing for the fledgling team, however it had garnered the attention of Oregon players who found another outlet to continue playing.

The Cobras were announced as one of the teams in the newly formed 2024 West Coast Pacific Football League.  The Cobras quickly established themselves as one of the Top 3 teams in the new league behind the Grit City Knights and Portland Raiders, the only team to defeat the Cobras during the season, each scoring two wins apiece, including a playoff defeat at the hands of eventual league champion Grit City.

With the Raiders not returning to the field in 2025, the Cobras became a landing spot for former Buzzards head coach Chris Rutter, a Raider coach in 2024, as a coordinator and many other Portland players.
