For the first time since 2009, GNFA Player of the Year
honors fall to a defensive player. Jackie Triplett
became the career sack leader in all of minor league
football in 2013 totalling 13 sacks leading the
Stallions to the PFL North Semi-Finals in their first
year as a league member.
Triplett, the 40-year
old phenom has accumulated 162 sacks in a ten year
career that started with the West Sound Saints in 2004.
The former US Marine, has kept himself in supreme shape
even earning a starting spot on the Dakota State
University Trojans football team before a leg injury
ended his season. Triplett was the first 36-year
old freshman to ever start for DSU. Six times in
his career, Jackie topped 20+ sacks in a season of play.
