Edging out
teammate Lance Westendorf, Myers was the biggest
all-around impact player in the Northwest in 2001
earning First-Team selections as a defensive back, punt
returner and kick returner and being named the NWFL's
Defensive Player of the Year.
Myers was
rewarded for his play in 2001 with an All-American
selection by the American Football Association (AFA) and
being named their Gold Ball Defensive Player of the
Year.
