The Stags made their debut under the lights on October 4th, 1947 facing the shipmen team from the USS Princeton in front of 700 fans.  Center Bill Nastiuk fractured his collar bone in two places in the 13-0 loss to Issaquah on November 30th.

The 1949 Stags struggled with injuries to key players, culminating in a record-setting 91-0 loss to the Seattle Ramblers on November 20th.  Coach Bill Warren, citing the depleted state of his team, canceled the Thanksgiving Day game with Bremerton and helped arrange a replacement team when Sand Point agreed to take Port Angeles place.  A final game with Enumclaw was also canceled ending the season.

The Port Angeles Stags as a football franchise ended following the 1949 season, but the Stags continued playing basketball and baseball around the region with some of the former football players starring.
