Originated in 2016, the Trojans were set to debut in the PNFL in 2019.
Rogue Valley had the most prolific offense in the PNFL for 2019 and the
three losses were to the two teams in the Championship including a
playoff loss in the semi final to South Lane.
Covid-19 shut down Oregon for 2020 and 2021 not allowing semi pro
football since the majority of teams including Trojans relied on high
school fields for games.
The 2022 season finally kicked off against the South Lane Buzzards and
it was as expected. The two teams last faced off in the 2019 PNFL
semi-finals with the Buzzards winning handily. This time, the
Trojans had the lead most of the game until the Buzzards forced overtime
and stole away a victory. Game two was canceled due to the
opponents suffering a shocking death to a player during the week, and
the following game was postponed due to the field being double-booked.
Finally getting to take the field again, the Portland Raiders, eventual
PNFL champions would be the opponent followed by the Buzzards again.
Defeating the Buzzards, the Trojans won 3 straight before meeting the
Raiders in the regular season finale, losing by one score.
Playoffs were a rematch with the Buzzards, and once again, overtime was
needed as South Lane ended Rogue Valley's season.
In September of 2022, a Facebook announcement indicated an ownership
change, however, the team and the PNFL were finished for 2023.
Jakari Johnson had a huge season for Rouge Valley including a record
setting 434 all purpose yards and 7 touchdowns on May 14 accounting for
all Trojan scoring.
