Charter member of the PNFL (Pacific Northwest Football League), the Mafia rolled to a 5-0 record before losing the finale to the Sentinels, then again in the winter Championship, setting up an ongoing feud with Washington as instant rivals.

Rip City would post another 5-2 season a few months later in the PNFL Summer Session and finally broke through in 2017 defeating the Lane County Kings for Championship trophy.

2017 Pacific Northwest Football League Champions

With the start of 2018 not only did the Mafia have their rival Sentinels to contend with, but a new rival joined the PNFL in the South Lane Buzzards. Rip City would make it to their 3rd and 4th Championship games respectively both years and each time faced the Buzzards succumbing to the Dirty Birds in both games.

Covid-19 shutdowns loomed on the horizon and after a year coaching the Willamette Valley Vikings, former coach Jeff Barker was announced as the new coach of the Rose City Swarm, formerly the Washington Sentinels with many Mafia expected to be a part. But, the lockdowns ended football for the better part of two years in the State or Oregon.
