Created in 1984 as an entrant to the Northwest Football Alliance, Sno-King struggled early on but with league-leading rusher Byron Ross, ground out four consecutive wins and needed one more over the Auburn Panthers to gain a potential playoff berth.  The undefeated Panthers took a 23-20 win on a field goal with :10 remaining in the game, moving on to win their first of four consecutive NFA crowns while Sno-King had to settle for a 0.500 finish.

Rolling out to a 6-1 start to the '85 season, the Blue Knights slipped to the #4 seed in the playoffs and was sent packing once again by the Panthers 36-3.  Sno-King finished 9-4 in what would be it's best season in franchise history.  Following the 1985 season, defensive coordinator Mike Mauze was announced as the new head coach for Olympic College in May of 1986 and the defense would not rise to the 1985 level again.

Randy Head was the only scorer in an 85-6 annihilation at the hands of the Auburn Panthers on Aug 24, 1986 when he returned a blocked punt 21-yards.  The score set three NFA records in the process.

After a demoralizing 75-0 defeat at the hands of the Eastside Express to open 1988, John Fahnstock announced nearly 1/4 of the team walked out and did not return.  After the close of the '88 season, the Express were sold and moved to the newly formed Minor League Football System and renamed the Seattle Express.  Those players who were not kept on with the Express, merged with the Blue Knights for the 1989 season according to a July 28, 1989 Daily Herald article. The Express were now located in Snohomish County as well, a move Worth Skinner deemed better to work out a lease with the Snohomish School District.  Former Seattle Seahawk QB Steve Myer was announced as head coach after leading the Express to the NWFL Championship in 1988.  Myer and a group of former Seahawks were playing charity exhibition arena games in the spring during halftime of Tacoma Stars indoor soccer games.

In a 16-6 win over the Seattle Raiders early in the 1989 season, defensive standout Coco Sua recorded a then-record three fumble recoveries and blocked a Raider PAT attempt.  After forfeiting the early season game due to a field conflict, the Vancouver Warhawks were "resurrected" and scored a sudden death overtime victory over the Blue Knights 27-21 on Sep 16, 1989.  Dave Judah was a one-man force the Knights could not stop as he accounted for three touchdowns including the 77-yard kickoff return that tied the game at 21-21 to send it to overtime.  With the Renton (Southside) Sharks having forfeited the season, the next game would be the league-leading Pierce County Bengals in a Harvest Bowl fundraiser game.  The Bengals won securing the #2 seed in the NWFL playoffs 39-13.

Victory was snatched away when Federal Way blocked a FG and scored with 1 minute remaining to play during the Sep 8, 1990 game.

Capitalizing on 13 turnovers, the Blue Knights notched the largest win in three years with a 40-0 victory over the independent Seattle Skyhawks.  Joe Williamson rushed for over 200 yards and four touchdowns, while Mark Ellis and Andre Culp led a dominating defensive effort that included a safety.  With a losing record in 1992, the Blue Knights advanced to the league championship when they received a forfeit playoff win over the Portland Thunderbolts.  The undefeated 'Bolts were supposed to host the game, however a venue for a night game was unavailable per league rules and the game was to be switched to Edmonds.  Portland refused to travel and the NWFL disqualified the T-bolts from the playoffs.  Sno-King would lose their only championship game appearance to the Bengals 14-7.  Joe Williamson led the league in rushing for 1992.

With a 17-14 upset of defending champion Pierce County to open the '93 campaign, Sno-King started out 2-2 but defense went downhill from there as the season got away from the Knights slipping to the bottom half of the league.  With a #4 seed, the Knights were crushed by the Jets 45-0 and in a non-league finale against the new Cowlitz Cavaliers, lost 8-0 to close the franchise.

Following the 1993 season, talks between the Blue Knights management and the Federal Way Jets led to the Puget Sound Jets bolstering an already dominant Jets team.  The Knights office which included John Fahnstock, and marketing would handle things off the field, while the Jets Coach Ken Austin and staff would handle the on-field items.  Seattle Times Merger 4/19/1994
