The son(?) of former Edmonds Warrior general manager Stan Carey (1962-63) is reported to have been named general manager on July 19th 1991 according to a Seattle Times article.  Carey Jr. was associate GM and special team coach of the one-year Seattle Raiders, followed by becoming a player and assistant GM with the Sno-King Blue Knights in 1990 before helping start the Panthers and serving as an administrator and assistant head coach as well as a defensive back.  Carey's other coaching stops included the Gainesville (GA) Rams (1983-1986), and being a coaching aide with the Atlanta Falcons (1971-1978), Washington Redskins (1979), Georgia Tech (1981-1982), Los Angeles Rams and UCLA in 1983, and USC in 1984 before settling in Washington.  Carey was also associated with incorporating a team out of Yelm, Washington called the "Northwest Orcas" in 2001, however it is unclear if that had any relation to the West Sound Orcas (West Sound Saints) club that formed in 2000.

Carey would rebrand the team as the Seattle Skyhawks for the 1992 season and try to operate as an independent, having left the Northwest Football League due to forfeiting a number of games in 1991.

Little has been recovered on this team and it's creation, game scores, players and eventual ending.  If you have information, please share!
