Announced in late 2023 as an expansion team in the west Idaho-based Idaho Contact Football Leauge, the Sabers would kick off against fellow expansion franchise Magic Valley Alphas.  Struggling to an 0-3 start, the Sabers started to get on track against the Savage notching the teams first win.  Even with former 2x GNFA Player of the Year Morris Bunn, former Idaho Mustang, playing both sides of the ball, the Sabers finished 3-4 in league play and placed themselves in the record-books with a 92-0 victory over the hapless Guardians.  A post-season game with Mountain West League member East Idaho Wolfpack evened the inaugural season record at 4-4.  The team sported twelve selections to the ICFL All-League teams with hopes high for a jump in 2025.
