Originated in 1990 by former members of the
Seattle Ramblers football team,
the Pacific Northwest Football Hall of Fame has continued the
tradition of selecting the best of Northwest football across all
levels. The banquets were long held at the Yankee Bar & Grill
in Ballard up until 2005 and moved to Renton in 2006. The
Ballard Elks Club became it's new home in 2011. The Seattle
Sports Commission became the umbrella support for the organization
and since 2001 former Seattle Seahawk and sports broadcaster Steve
Raible has been the Master of Ceremonies for the Hall of Fame
inductions. Players highlighted were associated with Northwest-area semi-pro football teams as well as their collegiate, high school, playing or coaching contributions. Some are also members of the Greater Northwest Football Hall of Fame, dedicated to semi-pro football in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Military and British Columbia.
