The Story:
The Majestics are billed as a "professional"
women's American football team, however players contribute money to
cover the cost of running the team and must pay their own expenses.
Beginning as the Tacoma Majestics in 2002, the team
moved to Seattle in 2006 and have won the IWFL's Northwest Division
title 6 times. The team has also had the distinction of
entertaining the crowd at Qwest Field prior to kickoff of the Seattle
Seahawks and has been featured on ESPN.
