Following the end of the Boise Roughriders and the announcement the Idaho Contact League would become an 11-man venture, the Treasure Valley Trojans became a 2017 entrant with former Treasure Valley Spartan coach John Evans and Guy Givens at the helm. The Trojans became an immediate challenger to the Tribe and Black Tide in the new league as the 2017 ended 6-3 with a 3-point playoff exit at the hands of the Tribe, eventual champions of the ICFL. The 2018 team played .500 ball as the Tribe and Tide continued to hold the upper hand, but it was the Mini Cassia Diggers who upended the Trojans with a stellar defensive performance in the playoffs to knock off Treasure Valley 12-6. Daniel Jenkins led the league with 841 yards rushing. The Tribe shut down and the Trojans were now one of the top two teams in the league. The 2019 team would finally make the ICFL Championship, but could not supplant the Black Tide who won the regular season battle by 10 and squeaked away with the crown 17-16 in the title game, both losses of a 5-2 season at the hand of the Tide. Nick Eden would be named ICFL Defensive MVP and doubled up as a 1st Team All-Leaguer at both defensive tackle and center. Four other Trojans earned 1st Team nods as well. Opening 2020 with an ICFL vs PNFL border battle against Central Oregon's Outlaws of the Pacific Northwest League that the Outlaws took, Covid-19 shut downs paused the season. Restarting in June 0f 2020, the Trojans were 4-1 in league play with the Tide holding another win over Treasure Valley in the league opener. Defeating the Boise Aztecs to claim the #2 seed in the ICFL playoffs, the Aztecs got an immediate rematch the following week in the playoffs and avenged the loss sending the Trojans out of contention to repeat it's championship game aspirations. Kishan Joiner earned the only first-team all-league selection for the Trojans. Rumors of Treasure Valley shutting down prior to the 2021 season coincided with the cellar dwelling Eastern Oregon Eagles (formerly Juggernauts) seeking yet another rebranding to the Knights. With a push from players to continue playing one more season it was decided the Trojans and Eagles would combine and be known as the Treasure Valley Trojan-Knights. After a 2-2 start, the Trojan-Knights hit another juggernaut in the former RMFL champion Idaho Mustangs now playing in the ICFL. The Mustangs decimated Treasure Valley to the tune of 90-0. What could have demoralized and dashed the season turned into a three-game winning streak with another ICFL playoff berth. This season it was the Savage who had the Trojan-Knight number with a 10-point week two win and a 14-point playoff round send off that ended the season and the franchise as a whole.
